Read past geography puzzles with context

Each entry is a saved Daily puzzle. Open a date to see its row and column clues, the recorded valid country choices at every intersection, and the lowest-scoring answer kept for each cell. The snapshot stays tied to that puzzle, so it is a useful record of the board that was published on that date.

Inspect clues before comparing answers

Read a row clue together with a column clue, then use the answer list for their shared cell to check the countries that matched both conditions. The number of valid choices helps explain why one intersection may have been more constrained than another. For the rule behind each intersection, see how to solve a GeoRiddle grid.

Understand cell minimums

A cell's valid countries are ranked by population: the most populous valid country earns the lowest score. Archive minimums are calculated for each cell separately, so the highlighted choices can repeat the same country across the grid. A playable board allows a country only once, which means these examples are not a guaranteed nine-cell solution. The scoring guide explains how those points are assigned.
